Shadows in the Surf
Folding several seconds of reality into a single moment shows us things we'd never notice otherwise. I watched for several minutes as the surf moved in and out among these trees on a beach in South Carolina. I didn't notice how the surf reflected their shadows into my camera until I saw the negative, and realized that sometimes, our eyes just don't see everything.
