Blackwater Falls at Full Force

On some days, it's a mere trickle. But not today. I never know what to expect when setting out to visit a waterfall. More than any other landscape feature, waterfalls can be very unpredictable. They can be calm and quiet or angry and noisy, or anything in between. On this day, I found Blackwater Falls in West Virginia a bit full of herself. That's what makes every visit with a waterfall unique.
