Loudoun Stream in Winter

Even heavy snowfalls in the Virginia Piedmont aren't enough to hamper the tenacity of this small stream. I found myself driving the backroads near my home the day after a 30" snowfall in February. As I slowly crossed a small, unplowed bridge, my eyes were distracted by the gentle curve of the stream against the glaring snow ridges. It was one of those "how the heck does that happen?" moments.
