Uncertain Journey

Old logging rail through the Appalachians can take you places.
The reason so many areas of Appalachia are devoid of virgin forests today is because of the extensive logging that took place in the 1800s. This old railroad once covered over 50 miles from along Yankee Horse Ridge and was used to bring fallen logs to the mills in the valley. Today, no one is sure where it goes.
