Autumn Sky Loudoun County

Classic Hand-varnished, Limited Edition photographic print on rag paper for sale

A barn marvels at the drama occuring in the autumn sky.

Upon finding this horse barn in the rural part of northern Virginia, I'd already been in the field for several hours. I was tired, and ready to return home to a hot cup of coffee. But the dramatic clouds were racing across the sky at remarkable speed, and I knew there was a moment that would come, and I wanted to remember it when it happened. So I set up my large format camera and began to wait for that moment. It was going to happen only when the roaming horse in the pasture between me and the scene found her way to the barn. It finally arrived, and I took the picture.

Windmill in the Pond

The relationship between windmills and water is constant. I love how photography can show us different ways this relationship can be told.
