Oak Among Pines Skyline Drive
Nature has a way of creating her own colorful masterpieces. We need only keep our eyes open to find them.
Whisper of a Sunrise
A moment along Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Mountains; never another just like this.
Autumn Russets Shenandoah National Park
In early Autumn in the Appalachian mountains, it's the ferns that show the first hint of autumn russets.
Distance Concealed
In the heights of the Appalachians, distance can easily get hidden in the fog.
Growing from Stone
It's fascinating how nature thrives on itself. These autumn oaks appear to be made from the same stone from which they are growing.
Early Light in the Clearing
[Order Print] Early morning fog catches sunrays to spotlight a remote home in the Smoky Mountains. I'm drawn to old architectural structures, especially log cabins. I imagine the people who lived there, worked there, worshipped there, and most likely died there. The stories I see are rich in pioneering spirit of those who eagerly placed themselves in such situations to make life better for themselves and their families.
